2020 Maine Maple Open Houses

As COVID-19 continues to spread, and based on the recommendations from the CDC and local government officials, the Southern Maine Maple Association has announced that all Maine Maple open house events should be postponed.

This was a very difficult decision and will significantly impact all producers across the state but as an association, we feel this is the right thing to do for public health.  We plan to host a future event when the timing is right.

In the meantime, we encourage you to support your local maple producers in other ways during the maple season.  Go to the SUGARHOUSE LOCATOR tab to view information from your local sugarmaker.   Also, you can find updates on a future event date here.  As always, our member directory with contact information can be found in the MEMBERSHIP tab.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sugarhouse Locator

Do you have an interest in making maple syrup?

You may already tap 10-15 trees, or maybe you put in 5000 taps. In either case SMMSA could be a great tool for your sugarmaking operation no matter what the size. SMMSA is committed to providing a forum for all sugarmakers both large and small to discuss ideas, concerns and share information.

What's in it for you?

Southern Maine Maple Sugarmakers Association was founded to address the needs and interests of sugarmakers who are geographically near each other, no matter what the size of their operation, nor how experienced or inexperienced they are. We can all learn from one another!
